Huntingdonshire Business Against Crime is run by businesses for businesses and operates in Huntingdon, St Ives and St Neots.
The membership adopts a proactive approach to preventing and reducing crime and anti-social behaviour.
HBAC members include businesses small, large, national and international, charities, and local groups.
The businesses involved are from the following areas:
HBAC Partner members include Cambridgeshire Constabulary, Huntingdonshire Community Safety Partnership at Huntingdonshire District Council, Huntingdon Town Council and BID Huntingdon.
Day to day management of HBAC, and the members first point of contact, is via the HBAC team – consisting of a part time manager and a part time co-ordinator.
HBAC – Aims & Objectives
- Collate and manage intelligence information which is shared with HBAC members
- Promote initiatives to reduce crime, the fear of crime, and anti-social behaviour
- Co-ordinate information to assist in the apprehension and prosecution of suspected offenders
- Reduce members’ losses and thereby contribute to the economic viability and prosperity of the area.
